As the developers of the bot announced that the Groovy Bot is shutting down. The team has been mulling over this decision for a while now, and, unfortunately, there’s no path forward that includes Groovy. On August 30th, Groovy will end its service. Premium users who paid for service beyond this date will receive a refund over the next few weeks.
A YouTube spokesperson noted that Groovy Bot violated its terms of service, particularly because it modified how YouTube worked and charged for the privilege. If Groovy Bot were merely free, it might have been able to live on. But it also offers a premium subscription starting at $3.99 a month, which unlocks a slew of useful features.
